Father's Day with Ebay (Ad)

With lots of affordable options, fast and free delivery and a mix of preloved and brand new items, eBay is a great place to shop and sort out the special man in your life this Father’s Day.

I don’t fancy bringing the kids around the shops when looking for gifts for my dad, Colin’s dad and Colin. I can also confirm that it’s not the girls’ idea of a great day out either.

Being able to scroll through eBay in the evening, and pop items in the basket that I can come back to, meant that it’s a fuss free solution. With such a vast amount to choose from for all the family, you are sure to find what you are looking for, including new designer items at outlet prices.

We all know that no two dads are the same, the 3 I am lucky enough to get to choose for have very different styles, and eBay was perfect for the diversity.

I’ve been an eBay shopper for years and more recently used it for homeware and items for the playhouse that we have recently been decorating.

For Father’s Day, I knew that I wanted to choose new items which included a range of clothing, aftershave and accessories for all the dads. I filtered the search so it would only show ‘Buy it now’ and ‘BNWT’ (Brand new with tags) options.

Did you know that 80% of listings are New items and 89% are a fixed price? So don’t let the thought of bidding put you off.

They make it really simple with free shipping, click and collect options and 30 day returns policy.

Bidding is a great way to pick up great bargains, but I wanted a really quick process when ordering these items and all items had arrived within 5 days of ordering.

Some ideas for dads, special Father figure or man in your life may be:

  • Branded clothing - with so much to choose from including Joules, Adidas, Jigsaw... find a full list here.

  • Luxury or vintage items (perhaps a vintage sport top)

  • A sportswear item from a brand outlet

  • Grooming products

  • Accessories such as watches, cufflinks, sunglasses

  • DIY items (and we all know that we can get the use out of these!)

The items that we choose for the men in our lives were some Rayban ‘Justin’ sunglasses, in all black for Colin, which were also cheaper than when we looked at them at the airport (you can find them here). They were brand new,in the box and had many options to choose from. Along with this, we also chose a Victor and Rolf men’s gift set, like the Christmas editions, so nice to get the shower gel and after shave balm also included. This was brand new, however from an independent seller.

For my dad, we chose a good Trespass walking coat from the Brand outlet (found here), which was almost £100 cheaper than the RRP. We got to test out the returns process which was very easy and straight forward, as I needed to exchange for a smaller size.

For Colin’s dad, Bella helped to choose a wallet as she said he mentioned recently to her nana that one of the sections was ripped (pretty impressive from a 5 year old, I hope she is right!) Kids love to be involved though, when the notion takes them. I chose a genuine leather bi-fold wallet from Debenhams outlet (found here) with an ID pass window that the girls have made little notes for. We also got Colin’s dad a T-shirt as it’s an ongoing joke that Colin chooses a t-shirt for his dad every birthday, Christmas and Father’s Day. Ichose a Joules stripe tee from the Joules outlet (found here).

All the items that I picked were Buy it Now and the process was really easy.

All 3 men in our lives have been sorted for Father’s Day through eBay, with a lot of help from the two girls. I doubt they would have been just as interested in helping and giving ideas if I were walking around shops with them. Now toy shopping would be a different story.

Whether it’s a one off find, something unique or a designer piece you are after, check out eBay. You can find a range of gift ideas here.

This post is a paid post for eBay however as always, all images, words and opinions are my own.
